Nativity Academy at St. Boniface is a private middle school in the Catholic tradition. It uses a proven educational model (known as the NativityMiguel model) to provide an excellent education, both in and beyond the classroom. It serves students of academic promise in the Louisville area from low income families. Its mission is to evoke a passion for learning in its students so that all may reach their full potential. |

As a faith-based school, Nativity Academy recognizes that each person is created by God and is a unique expression of God's presence in the world. We seek to motivate and encourage students through the Judeo-Christian values of respect for all people, reverence for the created world, and the universal human desire for peace and justice. Because it is sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville and the Xaverian Brothers, Nativity Academy at St. Boniface teaches formal religion classes within the Catholic tradition, but does not require that students be or become Catholic. While all students take Catholic religion classes and participate in ecumenical and Catholic prayer services, students are encouraged to regularly attend and actively participate in the church of their families' denominations. Nativity Academy seeks to support and promote students' growth as persons of faith with strong moral principles. |
